The Construction Users Roundtable proudly presents, “WORLD CLASS
PERFORMANCE FOR PROJECT EXECUTION” as the theme for our 2002 National
Owners Conference. This exciting conference will be held November 11, 12
and 13 at The Sheraton El Conquistador Resort & Country Club, Tucson,
Arizona. The Conference Chairpersons are Richard S. Troell, FMC
Corporation, and Ricardo Aparicio, General Electric Company.
The conference will include 28 different breakout and plenary sessions!
Some of this years 28 reasons to attend include: Mr. Gerald L. Shaheen,
President of Caterpillar Inc. who will deliver the keynote address on
Monday; Lt. Col. Oliver North, who will deliver the keynote address on
Wednesday and The Honorable Mr. D. Cameron Findlay, Deputy Secretary of
Labor, who will address the conference Tuesday afternoon. To see who some

We have secured a very special rate of $167.00 per night for
single/double occupancy, plus state and local taxes and daily service
charges, at The Sheraton El Conquistador Resort & Country Club. These
deluxe accommodations are among the finest in Arizona. There are only
350 rooms available and they will be assigned on a first come, first
served basis – so return your forms along with the necessary fees as soon
as possible to be assured accommodations.
Attached is a registration/reservation form that should be returned to
The Construction Users Roundtable for processing (please type or print –
no pencil please – when completing the registration/reservation form).
DO NOT SEND THIS FORM TO THE HOTEL, AS THE SHERATON EL CONQUISTADOR WILL
ONLY ACCEPT RESERVATIONS THROUGH THE CONSTRUCTION USERS ROUNDTABLE. A
one-night deposit of $167.00, payable by either check to “The Sheraton El
Conquistador Resort”, or a major credit card, must accompany forms.
Deposits for sleeping rooms are non-refundable unless cancelled 72 hours
prior to arrival.
To keep the registration process at the Conference as user friendly as
possible, we are requiring that registration and activity fees accompany
the registration forms. The registration fee is only $549! This fee
includes the receptions on Monday and Tuesday, dinner Monday evening and
continental breakfasts and lunches on Tuesday and Wednesday, Conference
refreshment breaks and all handout materials. The Spouse/Guest
Registration fee is only $89 and includes the receptions on Monday and
Tuesday, dinner Monday evening, continental breakfasts Tuesday and
Wednesday and lunch on Wednesday afternoon.
The Registration Desk for check-in will be open on Sunday, November 10,
from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM and on Monday, November 11, from 10:00 AM to 5:00
PM. The program begins Monday afternoon at 2:30 PM and concludes at 1:00
PM on Wednesday, November 13.
Again this year, we are excited to offer an additional service to the
attendees by hosting an Exhibition. The purpose of the exhibition is to
feature innovative products and services that promote world class project
execution. While scores of vendors and organizations have requested to
participate, only a limited number have been selected due to space
limitations.
A Golf Tournament is scheduled for Monday morning, November 11. Starting
times and pairings, as well as other details, will be provided at a later
date for those participating. Activities for spouses, including
hospitality and tours on Monday and Tuesday, are described on the
enclosed Spouse & Guest Hospitality Sheet.
The registration and golf fees are refundable, less a $50.00 processing
fee, if you cancel in writing to this office prior to October 18, 2002.
Spouse tour fees are non-refundable.
Please refer to the attached Air & Ground Travel sheet for special
arrangements with Delta Airlines, Avis Car Rentals and Arizona Stage
Coach as the official transportation providers for The CURT National
Conference.
