V-Purchasing.com provides two systems for contractor data collection, pre-qualification, and management.

Contractor Qualification Data:
This system is used by contractors to enter and maintain their qualification information. Contractors indicate the types of services they offer and the "smart" questionnaires ask them a series of questions related to these services. They are then reminded, automatically, to update or complete sets of information.

Contractor Management:
This system is used by owners (or by contractors who hire and qualify sub-contractors). It allows the owners to select contractors from a comprehensive database and maintain private file of contractors they plan to use, or contractors who have been qualified for use. Owners can enter a set of specific requirements for their contractors, and then test each contractor against those requirements electronically, consistently, and quickly.

Records of all data and contractor qualification events are maintained in an easily retrievable electronic file. This provides the owner with a complete audit trail.

Roles in the system can be set up so that different people can perform different tasks. For example your safety department may define the requirements while your purchasing department selects and tests the various contractors. At the same time your engineering and maintenance departments can view your list of "Qualified Contractors".
